Elliot Lake Fire Tower — Attraction in Elliot Lake

The fire tower is such a good place if you want a good vantage point of city. It has got pretty busted up telascope, but it still works. I'd suggest bringing some binoculars of your own because you'll be able to see better. The fire tower also has many different trails to go on. If you start at the top of the lookout, you'll only be able to go down, but starting at the bottom is also quite fun. They got a new Google maps machine for the tower, but it broke in between the time i was gone. Also, the tower does have free wifi, so be scared to show your friends if you have the chance 😀. you dont buy tickets or anything to go up, but to get to the tower, you'll have to go up a pretty good sloped hill, so be careful, the road also has a lot of sharp turns, trees will also block your vision so be cautious. i dont have pictures, but believe me when i tell you I need to see the view in the fall. i hope that you have a good day if you read this...

Nice veiw of the town, a popular tourist area, this is an place they used to survelance fires before satalites where the main surveillance optics for forest fires. It is still maned to this day for that purpose and has a tourist arrea with stuff to buy and snacks. Offers a buitifull veiw of the town of Elliot Lake and a spoters scope on the top deck of the tower, on a clear day you will see lake Huron in the distance along with multiple lakes of the former mining town.Come here for a great veiw...

The trail down the and around to the cliffs to Westner lake then snakes it's way to different fork's in pathway.Becareful if you're going up the mountain(lung buster) if you're walking fast and looking ahead or down you could miss the trail and have to double back.If you see the opening for the ski runs. you gone to far!
