A nice museum to visit, that will only improve as it completes more of its expansion projects. I found that there was more emphasis on displaying artifacts than providing a description and their role in the railway. While there was a brief summary of the railway and it's life on the island I felt more could have been done to convey the impact the railway had on the island. It is a small museum run by, what I assume, are volunteers who do a good job keeping maintaining the museum. They are right next to the walking / biking trails with free accessible washrooms and play area . Got some cool artifacts and areas to walk into to look around at things. They also have a model train set up that you can watch and if they have the rides going. They do have a speeder train. They have. A pump hand cart. As of 2023 they did not have the min train ride set up ( they said hopefully by 2024 season they will have the new one up and running ) I would call ahead to see if they are a go if they have staff to run them. I drove from Moncton 3 hours 1/2 all ready to go because based on the website I believed I could ride the mini train and take a ride around the park. Unfortunately it has been discontinued permanently due rising cost in maintenance. The rest of the place was okay but I spent a lot of money on gas plus a bridge toll, just to visit this place. Unless you're staying on the island for a bit I would not recommend making the trip just to see this place. Which is what I did. Ultimately felt like a total waste of my day, ...
