Great beach, close to many things including the Ovens Natural Park. The parking situation is not excellent, but there's usually something available along the road beach-side if you keep driving a bit.
Just a note to future beachgoers: not everyone likes or are comfortable with dogs. You should ask before unleashing yours and DO NOT treat this beach as a safe off-leash space (it's not). Have some respect and don't let your untrained poodle off leash, only to have it take off on you (toward another unknown dog) and have to send your husband screaming (voice cracking) after the wild animal (has happened more than once by a saucy black VW Tiguan driving couple). It raises stress levels in the animals & their handlers - completely avoidable by putting a leash on your dog. We come to the beach to unwind, not get in a snitfit with irresponsible pet owners....
