Excellent hike! Looks daunting, but it is not treacherous at all, just a lot of steps to climb. Very beautiful and expansive views along the way and especially at the top. There are two other trails connected to this one that are also worth taking. This and one other are quite short, and the third to the cove is a bit longer, and you can loop back through the town or turn back.

Fresh air; icebergs; awesome views! This isn't just good for the body, this is good for your spirit; your soul! Place Fogo Island in your bucket list; you will not regret it! Definitely worth a visit!

We hiked up the stairs to the lookout and back. It was a great experience and the whole family enjoyed it. It looks scarier than it is - the stairs are solid and generally low impact.

Such a great hike! We started on the side closest to the Lion’s Club and went the clockwise route as suggested in a few places. I found the trail to be moderately difficult, but not overly challenging. There were some steep inclines, but the footing was all very easy and the view from the top is incredible! We even saw an iceberg off in the distance! My husband had a minor knee fracture 8 weeks ago and made it up and down no problem with some hiking poles at a slower pace. The stairs coming down were great and we enjoyed the walk back through town to...

We didn't have enough time to do the full trail. We went down to the beach and enjoyed the natural pools, views, and picked up some sea glass. Made a nice stop for a touch of history and fresh air before we headed back...
