Kennington Cove Beach — Attraction in Fortress of Louisbourg National Historic Park

Oh man, this was one of the best beaches I've been to. The waves are big and so much fun.

There is a freshwater brook at the one end with a tiny little lagoon. I was watching for movement and seen some little eels about 4" long. Kinda neat for this Berta boy.

Great spot for a picnic! There are 4 picnic tables in an open field with a path leading down to the beach. My kids really enjoyed playing in the brook that flows onto the beach. We didn’t go far into the water as there were multiple rip tide warnings. Great area for picnic. (complete with tables and 2 open fields.) There are two sandy beaches; each about a 10-15 minute stroll from end to end. The water crashing on rocks at the ends of the Beaches sounds great!
