The Google listing supplied by the Centre says it opens at 1:00pm. We arrived ahead of 1:00pm and watched the worker arrive. We waited. No sign of opening the museum. We knocked on the door. Nothing. We called and were told it would open shortly but provided no time. We waited. Nothing. We had a kid with us and decided we couldn’t wait without any certainty as to when it would open. Quite disappointing to make the drive for nothing.
I guess you can’t rely on the opening times on Google but the Centre’s website does not have any hours listed either....

If I could give 0 stars and write a review I would. The information says the Geology Centre opens at 1pm. My family and I arrived a little before 1pm and waited for the center to open. At 1pm an employee entered the building. After 15min of waiting, the doors were still not open. We called the center to verify their hours and the employee that answered said they would open "shortly." We waited another 5 minutes and decided to leave. What horrible service. We wasted the drive to Fortune...

Had a great time with my family here. Fun for both my 8 year-old and my 11 year-old, and my wife and I learned a lot, too! Very well designed with a LOT of interesting information (some for adults older kids and other, shorter ones for the younger kids) and a LOT of shiny stuff to see. Directly across from the ferry station to Saint-Pierre and Miquelon, which is handy. Also, it was nice that it was open on a Sunday! We bought a lot of neat souvenirs. Strongly...
