If you’re in the Gore Bay area, this lighthouse attraction is definitely worth a stop. Entrance is free, though it does operate on donations, and every little bit helps support the upkeep and maintenance of this site.
The lighthouse itself is rich with history. There’s information available about its past, including details about former lighthouse keepers and the role the lighthouse played in the area's development. While you can’t go all the way to the top, due to safety concerns, it doesn’t take away from the overall experience.
The setting is picturesque, also located right in front of the water. It's a peaceful, scenic spot to explore and learn something new.
