Read moreWe had a very bad experience renting a canoe. We were told by staff attending to the canoe rental that all canoes were out. We asked if any were coming in shortly and were told within next 30 to 40 minutes a couple rentals were due. We asked if we could fill out the forms and were told no because it's first come first serve basis. We let the attendant know we were waiting and were 20 feet away within her sight. We were paying attention as we wanted to rent one. We noticed people coming up to rent and they were allowed to prefill the forms eventhough we were denied. We approached the attendant to ask her why she was treating us differently. She just kept reoeating the first come first serve rule eventhough, clearly, she was treating other park patrons differently then us. We asked to speak to a supervisor and were told that one will arrive sometime but would not give us a time frame. My daughter went back to ask for contact information and agai asked for a supervisor to arrive. Instead a park ranger came to tell us not to approach the attendant eventhough we did not make any further attempt to do so as clearly she was not going to treat us fairly. Finally a supervisor arrived. I told Mr Dickson what happened we were told we made the attendant cry so we had to leave in 15 minutes. That was apparently the right response in his mind because I guess all you have to do is cry and lie and then you can freely duscriminate against minorities in that park. This will of course result in appropriate legal consequences. Mr Dickson it was so rude of you to put on your sunglasses everytime I tried to talk to you. Very kindergarden intimidation tactic. So rude...
