Kidston Lake is a beautiful cozy little lake in the Rockingstone area with artificial sand beach, which call Kidston Lake Beach. There are lifeguards on duty during the summer months. It is very nice to swim in the flesh water. Someone can bring their own Stand Up Paddle board (SPB) and paddle across or around the lake. The water is always calm, not like the other bigger lakes with rough wave or strong current. it is so relax to paddle on Kidston Lake. Especially during the sunset moment, just be very careful that lifeguard should be off duty before sunset. Some little kids can play with the sand on the beach. Picnic table and brench also available. Better swimmers can swim across the lake and jump off the rock. Someone can stand in the middle of the lake because there is a big rock located in the middle. The beach is always busy during the summer time. People also like to hike around that area with their dogs. Before you walk to the beach there is a middle size field for the dogs to run around. Just beware of the uneven surface or holes in the meadow.
During off hour or off season, you cannot drive into the parking lot of the beach. But you can park at the end of the Feldstone Street and walk less than 5 minutes you will arrive the beach.
During winter season we all love going for a skate or playing hockey on a natural frozen lake by the beach area. It's important to make sure the ice is safe before you venture out on any frozen lake.
