Owner update below.

Clean and free place to visit and take a walk. Grounds and cool but you cant visit inside the buildings.

In response to what Scottsdale farm sent me: Thanks Michael..interesting you would give Dairy Queen and some others a 5 Star, and us a 4 Star? Why not actually visit vs pushing your Google Level 6 Local Guide ratings? Sad!

I have done many reviews and am an avid hiker, I feel that I gave your place and appropriate review based on my experiences. The local and trails are easy to access but the maintenance of the grounds on the trails left something to be desired as well. The grounds have beautiful buildings but are inaccessible and have signs sending people away from a few (the non private property ones that are adjacent to the public grounds) and are a shame considering even someone with a shred of curiosity would like to see the inside. Overall I had a good experience but after seeing how the people in charge of this account and the grounds take a decent review as a failure and want to point out the reviews perceived faults of the reviewer makes me confident I will not return. As a last note, I recently reviewed Dairy Cream (not Queen) which is a staple of the community it is in, and compared to other of the type (like Dairy Queen) it is pretty much the best and I doubt anyone in that community (that I'm not part of) would disagree. Their 5 star is not comparing a soft serve shop to a trail system, it's my judgement as to how much I enjoyed their business. I would suggest in further you figure out how to better adjust your acceptance of reviews. I'm never coming back to your place, I'm never going to suggest coming to your place to anyone, and I'm going to keep my contributions to green spaces to other parks that don't attack people wanting to enjoy their parks. I will leave my 4/5 review up. I hope you open up the buildings, maybe I'll...

First time visiting and was drawn here based on the reviews as I was looking for somewhere new to hike. I am glad that I went. There is a chance that you may miss the entrance as the sign is not the most visible however there is lots of parking and it is not a busy location.

I visited on Saturday in August in 30 degree weather and spent most of the afternoon hiking. There are lots of trails to take but I stayed on the Bennett heritage trail and the Bruce trail. I found the trails marked alright but you still have to look and make sure you are going the right away. I know some reviews found there to be a lot of bugs but I did not find more than the ordinary (I wore tights, sleeveless top, sunglasses and earphones and was not bothered).

The trail itself starts fairly easy but as you go along (especially if you venture into Bruce trail), there will be uphill/downhill hiking. I would hike here again and I found it to be peaceful, fairly maintained and a...

I've been hiking through Southern Ontario with my severely autistic son since covid began. While discovering a shared love for hiking, my son and I have found dozens of great trails. I have no idea how we missed Scotsdale Farm, but I'm so glad we finally found it! Even though the parking lot was full, we saw very few people. The old farm is pristine and authentic and so much fun to wander around. We stayed on the blue trail and wound up on the Bennett Side Trail. It's beautiful and slightly rugged ( just the way we like it!). I'd read reviews before going about the trails not being well marked. That was not my experience. Getting lost with an autistic teenager is a huge concern for me, but we had no problems finding our way. The comments about the potholes on the road entering the farm are true, but I have to say my son absolutely loved them! We had a wonderful time and can't...

Why is nobody talking about How beautiful Ontario winters are? ❄️ Okay, it's cold and icy, so make sure you dress in layers, bring some microspikes to wear on your hiking boots and you'll be all set. Here are 5 hikes near Toronto that you need to explore this winter: 1. Rattlesnake Point (1 hour from Toronto) 2. Forks of the Credit Provincial Park (1 hour away) 3. Scotsdale Farm (1 hour away) 4. Split Rock Narrows (1.5 hours away) 5. Grotto at Bruce Peninsula National Park (okay, this one is a 4 hour drive, but it's so worth it!) Where are your favourite winter hikes in Ontario (or whatever you live)? Share this with your best hiking buddy that you want to go winter hiking with! ❄️ #OntarioHiking #hiking #winterhiking #winterhike #discoverON #explorecanada

The Scotsdale farm is a nice place. However, the trails are even nicer. There are Bennett heritage and Robert's (a bit longer) trails, which can be accessed from the farm. The parking is plenty, and its free, and there is also another parking lot near 8 line. The trails are well maintained, with a few muddy spots depending on the weather. There is one pond just behind the farm and another one further away. Trails closer to the farm are busier, lots of dog owners. But as you get deeper into the woods, it becomes more private. One downside, though, is that it seems like there are no Washrooms. So keep this in mind if you have a long drive or are planning to spend some time at the farm.
