Mont Ham — Attraction in Ham-Sud

A must see and do if you live nearby or are visiting the area! What a gorgeous place! Also a great hike if you want to get out of the house and break a sweat. Try the 'intrépide' if you really like a challenge. The indications are clear and easily followed. The place is large enough to not feel cluttered with curious tourists. I definitely recommend making it to the top for a panoramic view that is simply breathtaking. Everything was in place for a good time alone, as a couple, with a few friends or as a family. I need to give this park 100/10, the facilities are immaculately clean and the trails are beautiful.

However, first and foremost, they helped my friend who I was separated from on the trail. She did not have her own water and didn't pack food, her phone was also dead. (I know that I should have verified these things as I assumed she was an intermediate hiker). The staff helped locate her at the summit, the volunteer first aid at the summit gave her food and water, and she made it back safely.

Mount Ham was great! I had heard about the view but I was also impressed by the friendly visitors centre (which served ice cream and great Moulin 7 beer!) and all the different trails they had for all levels. We took the Intrépide trail up which was fun and challenging with a few rock walls you get to climb up. We took Panaromique down which was slightly easier (though still rated intermediate - difficult) which had a nice view around the back of the mountain and a few lookout spots. I’ll be back to try...
