When New Serepta built it's new firehall, the old station was up for grabs. And thus, a classic Alberta meadery was born.
Old Station Honey and Mead sells honey and mead. The honey is lovely Alberta mukti-flower honey, but the mead is something special.
The drinks (best tasted in a flight on the patio) are clear and distinct. The sparkling meads are excellent for a crisp refreshing tipple, or for dessert. The Barb (rhubarb) and raspberry sparkling meads are an effervescent delight.
A heavier traditional mead is also on offer, but most bottles are much more like typical wines.
A hobbyist apiary had too much honey and began making mead. And we all benefit from the efforts of him and his bees.
