Clean, long, sometimes busy BUT plenty of room to not feel over crowded by others. Lots of parking no matter how busy. One entrance in or out & easy to find off HWY 62. Have public washrooms close by in a shaded well groomed area. Also lots of teach cans to use so hardly ever see garbage. The lake is shallow for the longest bit so feel safe with little ones swimming/wading. People who live close or on the lake are respectful to those visiting the beach with their boats & water equipment. It’s one of our favourite beach hang outs.

Great beach! Not so many people either which is absolutely amazing... the views are spectacular, and since it's a relatively small lake, the water is quite warm (during summer I assume) ... only few things, the water doesn't get deep for quite some distance from the shore (and till there, the sand is clean and water is crystal clear), but when its finally deep enough to swim, there are algae in the bottom which are annoying. The bathrooms are also not the best. Other than that, what an absolute gem of a place to relax

And the best thing is (if you have a pet) its a pet friendly beach. The furthest end of the beach allows for dogs--we were there twice in first half of July 2022 and our midsize doggie was welcome. That's hard to find these days. Water was crystal clear and not overcrowded despite ideal conditions. The shallow waters are great for touch FB! We'll be spending many summer days at Papineau.
