There is so much untold history about the mines, the Albert Mines of the Albert Mining Co. in Boston. The Albert Mines were key suppliers of copper to the damnyankees during the Civil War. The mines were abandoned and left as a scar on the side of a mountain. However, there were bonuses such as a playground for local kids in the 50s and 60s, a well-used lovers' lane and acres of blueberry bushes which seem to thrive in cuprous soil. Great place to remember miners and their history. I don't recommend the gold exploration in a nearby river, it's not worth it (there's no explanation or context or history given; you wear boots and look for gold - you can do that yourself, on your own time), unless you simply wish to give money to a local business!
