Beautiful islands with unique rock formations that would rival the UNESCO World Heritage sites in Cappadoccia, Turkey.

We took boat tours that brought us to Ile Nue, Ile Quarry, Ile Niapiskau, and Ile Peroquets (which has no rock formations but has a lighthouse and is also a bird sanctuary). All are spectacular. Boat tours are a must-do.

We also stayed two nights at an Oasis (a Parks Canada mini-cottage with solar lighting, propane heating, and BBQ but no electrical or water system). We got to the island through a boat taxi. This is a superb option for non-campers like us but its main drawback is that reaching the camp from the boat drop-off is a long and very rough walk to carry your bags. But the views around the island are all incredible. Highly...

Amazing location. It's been on my life list and I almost did not see any due to weather. Perroquets and Ile Nue were cancelled due to torrential rain. I could not reschedule the next day due to high wind. Finally in my last day in the area, the weather broke and I got to see Quarry and Niapiskau. So beautiful. I would loved to have stayed longer, but I took what I could get. The Parks Canada guidea were very informative. Dress warm and in layers. It's very cold and wet on the boats and then you heat up walking around...

Your bucket list for exploring Québec this summer - details 👇🏽 📌SAVE this reel for later 1. Take a road trip down route 138 also known as the “Whale Route” 🐋 - a great way to explore the St. Lawrence and all the marine life it has to offer 2. Go hiking in the Charlevoix region 🏔️ - this hike is called Mont du Dôme, but there are so many other beautiful hiking trails in the area 3. Stay in a cozy cabin 🛖 - Québec has sooo many incredible and unique accommodations to stay in! This one is called Prunella (one of my favourites!) 4. Explore the largest concentration of Monoliths in Canada at Mingan Archipelago National Park Reserve 🪨 5. Chase waterfalls 💦 so many amazing waterfalls to chase - this one is Jean-Larose Falls near Quebec City 6. Adventure out on the lakes with a SUP 7. Go car camping ⛺️ - Camping Paradis Marin . . . . . #bonjourquebec #quebecoriginal #eastcoastcanada #quebecregion #explorecanada #allaboutadventures #roadtripadventures #bassaintlaurent #wandercanada #discoverquebec #charlevoix #cotenord
