Good fishing in this lake but the boat traffic is heavy. Now for my rant.

PUBLIC BOAT LAUNCHES ARE NOT CAMP SITES FOR YOU TO FREELOAD ON.

I ALMOST RAN A KID OVER BECAUSE THE ILLEGAL CAMPERS AT THE BOAT LAUNCH WEREN'T WATCHING THEIR KID AS I WAS BACKING DOWN THE BOAT RAMP. THE PARENT DIDN'T SEEM TOO CONCERNED WHEN I TOLD THEM TO GO GET THEIR KID FROM BEHIND MY TRAILER.

This isn't the first time I've come across freeloaders camping at boat launches. Last year, Deer Lake off of 648. Two SUV's and two trailers set up in the boat launch area with 8 kids running around the parking lot.

Unfortunately it only takes one individual and their inability to see potential safety risks by setting up a camping trailer at the boat launch which spoiled it for the rest of the...

The lake was great, we did some geocaching on the islands there in our canoe. Lots of boat traffic, my wife and I were tacking into the wakes, but got slammed good by one broadside and capsized. Which sucked. Mind you we had our safety gear on and so on. We were swimming about with a submerged canoe for 20 mins. A few waves back at us as we waved for help HAHAHAHA. Started using our whistle and a bunch came to assist. Lost a fishing pole and a fit bit. The rest was in ziplocks tied to the yoke of the canoe. Preparedness saved the day, and some nice boaters. Spent many summers on Paudash lake with my family until we sold our cottage in the 80s. Big mistake!! Would love to relocate up on the lake or close by. One of the most beautiful lakes, rugged hikes, great swimming, fun boating, canoing and water-skiing and incredible sunsets! Many cherished...
