Caleb Pike Heritage Park — Attraction in Highlands

Very cool old pioneer buildings. Would have been nice if the historic buildings and public bathrooms were open. It was the weekend during business hours when we went so... if not then, when? Also, it felt a little awkward because there are people living on the property in two houses. There is no delineation marking where the park is and where the people's yards began. It felt like we were literally walking into someone's yard and really depriving these people of their privacy. To add to the confusion, their houses were also old looking pioneer-style houses. There honestly isn't much here and I think that's why I like it. It's never busy. I've only ever seen one other person there, besides the caretaker. It's a nice enough place spend less than an hour, or have a picnic. There's only one picnic table, so its a good thing it's not busy.
