Hidden Gem! Went kayaking on lake Kawkawa, such beautiful water and scenery to enjoy. Space for fishers, boaters, and paddle boarders. Nice day beach/picnic area with roped off swimming area. Water is known for swimmers itch don’t forget a post-swim shower. Playground for kids. Pokemon stop and gym.

A beautiful park overlooking the lake and mountains. Very nice green/grass space for a blanket or running the littles. Lots of picnic tables and benches as well. There is a nice little playground and a swimming area (no lifeguard). Washrooms are also on site.

It is pretty but a little average compared to other beaches like Chilliwack Lake. Playground for kids was decent but worn. A ton of gigantic spiders in the bathroom which is to be expected I guess. Very small beach area but very pretty lake.

Hit it 👍🏿! What beautiful lake to spend the day at. There are a handful of public areas around the lake. It can get quite windy through the afternoon. I have heard there is swimmers itch here but never encountered it myself.

Kawkawa Lake is a lake located 2.5 km east of Hope, British Columbia. Kawkawa is also the name for the neighbourhood in Hope surrounding Kawkawa Lake. The lake is home to many species of fish, but it is best known for its large kokanee, which can reach up to 3+ lbs in weight.
