Love this park. The main area has plenty of parking and for groups and/or a family looking for a hang, it's nice with amenities you would expect (washrooms, picnic tables, fire pit, ponds, kids play area, etc.). The covered bridges are cute. Saw a group doing family pics there. But beyond that, it's the location. The park is linked and has access to the trail that run along the river both north and south. South will take you back toward the city (think Hermitage Park) and north will feature a bridge across the river and a link to trails heading toward ft. Saskatchewan (I assume). Will make for amazing hikes and or bike rides. The only negative at the time of this review is the bridge is still under construction so you are limited north, but the park is still worth checking out now (will only...

Went there early spring so all the washrooms were unavailable and locked up. Roads were pretty dusty with vehicles stirring it up, so could use some road treatment to reduce dust flying into hikers walking nearby or walking along the road. Plenty of places to walk throughout the park, with very large and open spaces. Expect the park to be windy as its wide open and not a whole lot of trees for protection. The bridges could have been better designed and built much higher to accommodate for canoe/kayak traffic underneath, but other than that they are just a cool looking barn-covered bridge. The event centre building looks to be a very nice facility...

Brand spanking new city park, just over a year old. Not even a toddler yet but with such potential.

My husband and I talked to a park employee and she told us that the city will be planting more trees. Yeah! We noticed lots of huge pots for bedding plants for use in the Spring.

The architecture is gorgeous. Bridges like barns. Open wooden beams with polished concrete floors in the Event Centre. With a kitchen to die for.

Jungle gyms for kids and picnic areas.

Flat trails to stroll within the park that connect to the River Valley trails.

We will be back her for every season, just to watch how the...

I think its still a work in progress. The events centre looks like it will be a nice usable space. As others have already mentioned, if you are very sensitive to smells and such this may be an off-putting place. Smells like marshland. Brought my dog for a walk and already saw some poop not picked up. It really bugs me when lazy owners don't clean up after their dogs. We're so lucky to have spaces where they allow dogs so please be responsible! Could use more receptacles! Also pick up your trash in general lots of people on picnics and saw bits of garbage already! Please leave spaces better than you found it!!!
