Amazing views and even a guided tour that explains some of the history here. It's worth the drive just to soak in the views alone. I travelled all the way here from Austin, TX and still can't wait to come back. The view of the Ocean stretches on as far as the eye can see, and the historic feel of the lighthouse is beyond incredible. There are a number of informative placards scattered about that tell of the rich history of the Lobster Cove Head Lighthouse, and even explains the signaling methods used by the lighthouse operator to help ships avoid running ashore into the rocky outcroppings below. Before there was radio communication there had to be a very precise method of communication to ensure the safety of the sea-faring captains. I'd rate this experience 10 stars if it...

A Gros Morne Showstopper Lobster Cove Lighthouse was my very first stop in Gros Morne, and I honestly thought it would be impossible to top. I arrived during golden hour and was blown away—not just by the views, but by my own photos. The landscape here is breathtaking, with coastal scenery that feels almost otherworldly.

The short hike to explore the area was easy and pleasant, dotted with mushrooms of every shape and color. Practical details were just as impressive: the bathrooms were immaculate, and the garbage bins were freshly emptied. This spot set the bar incredibly high for the rest of my Gros...

Awesome place to check out the ocean views, catch the sunset and take a walk. The hill is steep but everything is well maintained and the cliffside is fenced off for safety.

The sun sets behind the lighthouse, which is excellent for taking moody pictures. The lighthouse is available to tour, although there are health and safety regulations that limit the amount of people allowed in at once.

The staff at the lighthouse are friendly and funny, and know the history of the lighthouse keepers over the years. At night the lighthouses beacon can be seen from afar....

Located on a rocky cliff, this small lighthouse is a great area to explore. There are boards around outside with information on the lighthouse and its history, as well as a small exhibit about it and the area inside the lighthouse. There is a great view out to the bay around the back of the lighthouse, as well as several trails looping around the area and down to the rocky beach. When the tide is out there are even some small tide pools that can be explored. A great spot to learn about the area as well as explore.
