Head Lake holds a special place in my heart, growing up there at my grandparents place my whole life. The annual community corn roast is really fun! Water is always nice whether you're boating, fishing, or swimming, and plenty of trails to walk around and explore the Queen's land. Private roads are unpaved and in constant state of disarray but should be expected in the deep bush country. Truly a hidden gem in...

Went to Head Lake just to canoe across it to camp in The Queen Elizabeth II Wildlands Provincial Park. Head Lake is quite large and when windy the waves can get quite treacherous for a canoe. I may need to find another route into the park. Most of the lake is surrounded by cottages. On the pro side, there is free parking and...
