Cranberry Bog Trail — Attraction in Killarney

So mixed feeling. At the mid point, so about 2km walk, there is a beautiful view indeed! It’s up and down, and if the rocks are wet they are very slippery. But- the freaking deer flies are absolutely relentless making this mostly unfun to walk. The chickanishing trail is far more beautiful and rewarding than this one. This is a nice forest walk with a billion deer flies. It’s marked properly so you know where to walk.

It’s in the entrance of the information center, you have to drive into the entire camp ground to get to a parking for it.

We wouldn’t go back and were happy we got out alive even though we had bug spray. We basically soaked ourselves with it and it still didn’t repel them. There was 5 of us and we all felt the same.

Came on a windy day there was no bugs at all had difficulty finding the parking for the cranberry bog trail. The hike took us 1.5 hours some spots were slippery as it looked like it had rained. I enjoyed our hike there it was pretty quiet saw two other families during the hike. Had some nice look out spots I love Killarney have such beautiful hiking spots can’t wait to do...

Cranberry Bog trail is a loop trail which is about 4km. We could hear the birds singing along the way. Views on the trail are beautiful and includes water lilies, red granite rocks, lakes.
