We had an electrical site for a 25' TT. The trees could have been a bit more trimmed to leave the RVs undamaged from scrapes but otherwise the site was perfect. The ground was all gravel which was great for leveling but not comfortable for our dog. We had mats though and made due. It was beyond peaceful for the first week of September and we weren't bothered by flying critters. Signage to the trails could have been a bit better or maybe we could be better map readers. 🤔 The beach is wide and compact sand, typical of Lake Huron with big dunes. We saw the dog area which looked big but didn't use it. Definitely plan to visit the cemetary rich with history. It's a place to take bikes with so many places to explore. The water fill area and dump site were great. Separate but close to each other. The vault toilets were cleaned at 9am each day and kept very clean. They are well planned out in the sites. The shower was clean and water warm. The disabled shower was very accessible with the toilet and shower all in one. There was only 2 showers at our comfort station a regular and disabled. The Bruce Nuclear Power Plant was on the road coming in and you can see it from the beach. If you haven't been there book a tour in advance. We definitely recommend Inverhuron. Note: Firewood was $8.00 on the road and $10.00 at the campground for a very small bag. They only want local wood to prevent disease spread. Have a blast!

I recently had an absolutely incredible camping experience at Inverhuron Provincial Park. What made it truly outstanding was the exceptional staff who went above and beyond to ensure our stay was nothing short of amazing. Their helpfulness and attentiveness made a significant difference throughout our visit. One aspect that stood out was the impeccable cleanliness of the park, particularly the bathrooms. It was evident that the staff took great pride in maintaining a spotless environment for all campers. The bathrooms were consistently well-stocked, sanitized, and fresh, which significantly added to the overall comfort and enjoyment of our stay. The staff's dedication to cleanliness and their friendly demeanor truly made a positive impact on our camping experience. We felt welcomed and well-cared for throughout our time at Inverhuron Provincial Park. It's refreshing to encounter a team that takes such pride in their work and goes the extra mile to ensure visitors have a memorable and enjoyable stay. I can wholeheartedly recommend Inverhuron Provincial Park to anyone looking for a well-maintained campground with a friendly and helpful staff. Whether you're a nature enthusiast or simply seeking a peaceful retreat, this park will exceed your expectations. Kudos to the staff for their exceptional service and for making our camping adventure truly unforgettable.

Recently spent 4 nights at Inverhuron PP in the Gunn Point campground portion of the park. Must say this is one of the better provincial parks I've been to. Anything along Lake Huron is beautiful. The waters are turquoise blue, clean and refreshing. Sandy beach area with a boat launch beside main portion of beach. There's a dog area portion of the beach where all woofs are welcome to roam free. There's so much to do at this park and the staff does a great job at the up keep and cleanliness. Walk, hike, bike or swim. There's a trail called Chain Trail that goes around the perimeter of the park (about 5km and great for trail riding) then the Waterfront Trail isn't too far just outside the park entrance that goes along the waterfront into the town of Kincardine and beyond. Facilities are clean and well looked after. Campsites are all gravel base with good privacy from neighbours. Lots of smaller wooded sites and pull throughs for larger RV's. Highly recommend making sure you bring a long extension cord for your trailer or RV. I saw a few sites where the cord ran quite a distance from the camp site to the hookup. The PP website does a good job of explaining the distance from camp site to hookup. Other than that I hope my pictures explain how beautiful this park is.

This is our favourite Provincial Park, been camping here since it reopened in 2005. Inverhuron never disappoints and it's close to Kincardine and Port Elgin if you forget anything. The park has certainly grown, it now has 8 rustic cabins with waterfront views of Lake Huron and there is a mini-comfort station for the cabins (right in middle of all 8). And if they are busy short walk to mini-comfort station at the Holmes Bay portion of the park. There are 3 campgrounds, Holmes Bay the newest so some trees still need to grow in...but has come along way in 5yrs. If you have a large RV Holmes Bay can accommodate for sure. Then there is Lime Kiln & Gunn Point the originals, both are awesome can accommodate tents to large RVs in pull-through sites. Both these campgrounds are very private for the most part. Gunn Point close to boat launch and kids playground with short hike through Chain Trail. Gunn Point also has a mini-comfort station as well along with access to larger one shared with Lime Kiln. The Chain Trail is multi-use for bikes and hikes...goes along Lake Huron through all 3 campgrounds, along the boundary with the Bruce Nuclear Plant out to the main park road. Beach is amazing and sunsets even more amazing!!! Can't say enough about this park!

Stayed in one of the rental cabins (built just last year I believe). Cabin was quite nice, very clean, in the shade most of the day so it didn’t get too hot. Cabin features a microwave, small fridge (with icebox), coffee maker, inside fireplace, electricity, really nice gas barbecue, fire pit, and fresh (drinkable) water spout at edge of lot. Spacious parking for (at least) 2 vehicles, and double bunk beds which sleeps 4 (bottom bunks are a bit wider, could probably fit 2 kids). Cabins are right beside the “rock beach”, and Inverhuron also features a larger “sand beach” which is a short walk or drive to the other side of the park. Park and washrooms were very clean (especially for a provincial park) and the staff were very pleasant and energetic. Plenty of wildlife encounters (which the kids enjoyed), got to see a Hummingbird, Common Loon, Garter Snake, Crayfish, and several Frogs and Turkey Vultures.

We always have a fantastic time at Inverhuron. The sites are private, no matter what site you pick. This weekend, it rained for literally 60 hours and our site stayed dry and well drained, without any water pooling, due to the fact it's all gravel and well sloped from the centered of any site. It has a dog friendly section of the beach, and dogs are welcome. Sunsets are too die for! There is not much for kids- no playground and very limited activities, so make sure you bring all you need to keep them busy. Gunn Point section has better internet and cellphone reception, but we never have any problem even at Lime Kiln with Telus. If you forget anything, there is town of Tiverton and Kincardine within 10 and 20 minutes drive with all the stores you need. We've been coming here for 20 years. Worth 3+ hrs drive from GTA.
