I climbed 5 of 8 days I was in Tremblant and my skin was so raw but it was worth it.
Access + fees It's a $60 annual membership (cash or e-transfer) or $12 for a day pass. There's plenty of parking by the entrance or along the road. The climbs are easily accessible and I had no issues with Teva sandals. FYI the entrance has a really steep walk way.
Climbing The rock is granite and the climbs were really fun. There were many trad, mixed and sport climbs. There's quite a lot of variation in style as well. Plenty of slab, technical and gym like climbing. If you are using the local guide book, the star rating only applies to Trad climbing pro placement - not how fun a climb is.
Bugs The bugs weren't too bad. There were a few mosquitos, black flies and deer flies at the end of June but I brought bug spray so I only walked away with a few bites.
Cons My only complaint is that some of the anchors/wrap rings were small and didn't have additional rings to...
Read moreA beautiful place to go hiking. But beware, the outermost trail that goes the entire way around (about 6 km) is VERY difficult and requires a high level of fitness. Do not follow the difficulties indicated on the map. The trail starts off quite easy, but soon you’re hauling yourself up and down 80 degree slopes with ropes. This is not a relaxing walk through the woods. The highlights of the hike are the amazing views at several places along the hike, as well as the lake near the bottom. The lake water is warm and looks crystal clean, and the environment is super peaceful, so make sure to bring your bathing suit. Access is easy (5 minutes from the highway) and there is lots of parking. Highly recommend if you’re looking for a...
Read moreDangerous in winter. Trails are well marked and although we enjoyed ourselves, there were many dangerous areas due to areas and stairs not being maintained and were full of ice. At the end of the 1 hour hike, there is a long set of stairs to get back down to the reception. The stairs were full of ice and there is a rope to try to help you down. We required the assistance of a passerby who was wearing ice crampons (you know, the kind you might wear going up Everest) to help us down. Trails marked "easy" were also often narrow and steep in a few sections - all to say I would not recommend this activity in winter for anyone with young children, inexperienced hikers, or anyone who is not in good...
