The tour was worth , the spinning chairs in the room with the glasses was very nice idea , probably the best thing about it , a bit more time there would have earned them an extra star and for the kids the electric globe , a few more of them with few more minutes would have made it more interesting when you have a bunch of kids in the tour . The biggest issue of it,is that all the presentation was made only in French ( although they told us that in advance) , for a touristic site is ridiculous not to offer in English as well , when everywhere in the world , any touristic place offers at the very least presentations in the respective native tongue and English , here in a dual official languages country , near the border with US , does not offer it , sounds political , at the cost of...
Read moreBeauitful observatory at the peak of Mount Magnetic. The view from there was absolutely breathtaking. A guided tour was included in the tickets with our visit at the AstroLab at the bottom of the mount. The tour lasted for around 45 minutes. We were able to learn about it's history and management, while still seeing the impressive telescope and all the exploits researchers have discovered with it. A lil anecdote: I came to Mont-Megantic with some friends for camping in June 2020 and hiked up at 7pm to see the sunset and to have some supper. We were the only group there for the most part. Around 9pm, we were running out of water and still had a long hike down.
