The park staff at the visitor centre and hut were incredibly friendly and helpful, especially since most of them spoke English.

We did the Lac Pioui trail, which leads to the same summit via a ridge hike. It's a rustic multi-terrain trail that leads you to a unique combination of valleys, rock faces, and bare peaks. At the summit (981m), you’ll be greeted with one of the most impressive views over the Charlevoix region.

It took us exactly 5 hours, as recommended on the trail map, and we took multiple rests to enjoy the views—really on point. I encourage the extra few kilometers for...

Magnifique sentier, presque tout en gravier et « facile ». La dernière montée se fait sur escaliers de bois et le sommet est en fait une grosse roche avec une vue magnifique. Donc, le sentier n’est pas difficile en tant que tel mais l’inclinaison est assez forte et constante donc ça prend un bon cardio! On a vu beaucoup de familles aussi, donc c’est accesible aux enfants.
