It's nothing special, but I actually really enjoyed my time here! The worker at the front gate was very friendly and helpful. I find that $11.50 is a bit steep for what it is, but the trail was well-maintained and the buildings were nice. The trails are VERY well-marked. One of the best I've seen in all my hikes! They have a poster of the map at every "intersection" which was very helpful. The trails are also decent as well; not a lot of rocks or roots. However, my biggest gripe is that dogs are only allowed on 3 of the trails. The trails they're allowed on are the more "difficult" (woodsy) ones. Like, why are they not allowed on all trails? It was strange. Also, when I arrived (2:30PM), the worker said to me "I close the gate at 5pm." I asked "What happens if I come back after 5pm?" to which he said "Well, you'll be locked in behind the gate." I chuckled nervously but also wondered what would really happen if I came back after 5pm, since all other places I've been to don't "lock you in" after they close. Probably best to get back to the gate before 5pm. TLDR: It's nothing special, but still definitely worth visiting. The trail is nice to walk on and the (many) views of the lake are nice. Just wish they allowed dogs on *all* of the trails!

We are from Hawkesbury. The trail/lake was about 35 minutes north of where we live. We have hiked locally, at Mont tremblant, and Stowe Vermont, but wanted to try something different. The lake was beautiful, the trails were well indicated. There’s lots of parking. The staff gave us a map and answered all of our questions. There are trails that are wide and easy to walk on. There are also trails that are rustic and a little more natural (walking on rocks and over streams etc…). I love love love the fact that we could take a trail that would take 20 minutes or we could do a trail that would take four hours and everything in between. Tips: if you go on the trails after a few days of rain, make sure you have waterproof hiking boots. And I love to using my polls on the trails. Great way to get your kids off the electronics for a few hours

Trail-Heaven on earth. For winter: snowshoes and cross country ski, ski-doo, walk, jog and enjoy a sweet hut with a fire to warm up on colder days. Gear to rent as well for the activities. New trails being developed and ongoing, beautiful views and well-marked trails. Annual membership or pay for the day.
