Terrible planning or/and management, deeply lacking of any interest in their clients health, wellbeing, or time, also any courtesy to its clients. Today, July 18, 2020, a day with heat warning, after going thru a more than 80 (yes, Eighty) cars line up both ways of the road to the park, just when we got at the entrance, the ONLY ONE AND ONLY, also visibly frustrated park security officer, turned us around, saying they are full...My friend with her 2 years old son, my fiancee, myself, and, fir sure, even my 3 month puppy were astounded in disbelief! I asked why there is nobody going around, or no sign drawing attention to people lining up for almost ONE HOUR to try to get in, informing them they are full, so people would not waste their time, especially in such burning hot day?? The officer responded that he is the ONLY one there. Is that a good excuse? Wasn't worth trying to find a feasible and considerate solution to avoid people's frustration, disappointment, and waste of time? Going back on the road, we watched the rather growing number of cars waiting in the line up; some mothers with infants in their arms standing beside their car in that tremendous heat, not knowing they are lining up just to be, disappointingly, turned away. We hold a few drivers that they are lining up just ho bd turned away, and some of them understood and left the line up. However, since we did not the official authority to offer such information, other drivers chose to continue to wait in line. Also, the alleys to the beach could be properly, from a health and safety/common sense perspective, finished with the wood planks up to the beach, because is terribly hard to walk on the sand, especially when carrying heavy beach items or children, of for our elders. The only star I give is for the cleanliness of the only 2 toilets they...

We are staying at a beach front cottage in Grand Bend this week and, while the Main Beach at Grand Bend is right there, we still chose to spend 2 days at Pinerys Dog Beach. Unlike Grand Bends Main Beach, the dog beach has no rocky areas ( Main Beach has a few feet of rock at the entrance to the water). Pinerys Dog Beach is also less busy than the JAM PACKED Main Beach in Grand Bend and you actually have space to yourself instead of being surrounded by hundreds of people both on the beach and in the water. The sand at Pinerys Dog Beach is also softer and the dunes at the perimeter of the beach are also very fun for my kids to play on!! Our dog, Luna, loves this beach and it always feels safe there for her to play and swim. Honestly, I'd go to Pinerys Dog Beach every day if I...

WARNING – NOT A REAL DOG BEACH!

At a real dog beach dogs are allowed unleashed. Pinery expects your dog to be always leashed and that leash cannot be longer than 6ft, as per the signs posted in the parking lot. This is the rule at pretty much every beach in Ontario. So, by the Pinery’s viewpoint, every beach in the province is a dog beach. Not much fun if you want to spend the afternoon with your furry friend and family playing fetch or other dog activities in the water. If you must keep your dog leashed there are much better beaches to go to in the area for free that a far better than this one. Plus, cobblestone rocks for the fist 20ft into the water make it difficult to walk to the sandy area without the use of...

Pinery Provincial Park's Dog Beach 1 is a great spot for a day visit, especially if you have a furry friend. This beach area, designated for dogs, is typically less crowded compared to other parts of the park, which makes for a more relaxing experience. I found it to be cleaner, too, as most dog owners are diligent about cleaning up after their pets. The beach itself is nice and well-maintained, making it a pleasant place to spend the day. However, it's worth noting that despite the rule that dogs must be leashed, some owners let their dogs roam freely. This might be something to keep in mind if you're visiting with small children. Overall, it's a fantastic spot for a beach day with your dog!

This place is fantastic! There are 2 Great dog beaches! Super clean. Beach #1 is surprisingly narrow so not a whole lot of place to set up on the beach itself ( it's more of a dune) but the overall experience makes up for it. Crystal clear water is shallow for at least 50 to 70 ft, making it a great place to play in the water with pets or children. If your pup is a swimmer no problem just walk out a little further and enjoy the waves. The people are friendly and even the toilets were clean. Can't wait to visit again!

Came here for day use a couple times while staying at a airbnb down the road its a huge park but we onky used the main road so didnt see the campsites. So much deep forrest here, the beach was amazing pretty quiet not alot of people and soft almost white sand. Very pretty sunsets here, the water is also very shallow and has sand bars out far... however the road is basically one way so needed to drive all the way around the park to get out from the p1 parking. Would be nice to came here sometime
