Update: Went again today (Sept 2024), still nice but somehow shorter than I remember. No bugs at this time of year, you're probably okay bug-wise going on this trail starting by the end of August, can't speak for sooner than that in the year.

Old Review: Really nice 90 minute hike (roundtrip), not too hard to complete. Most of the path except for the last climb is easy enough for most people to do. The last bit is pretty steep so that's my only heads up.

View is wonderful, better than the pictures suggest which are already great. If the weather's good, I'd highly recommend this.

EDIT: I see a few posts complaining about bugs. It depends on the time of year because at the time of posting (late October) there was nothing but a few ladybugs...

Breathtaking. It appears to be prime season here for viewing the fall colours. There are several inclines on this trail, but also a lot of benches along the path to relax and enjoy nature. There was an outhouse close to the beginning of the trail. The view at the top is spectacular. I'd compare it to the Eagles Nest view, but without the crowds. The trail wasn't very busy when I was there. Parking for 8-10 cars available, which was plenty when I visited. The drive from Ottawa to the trail was beautiful, with an abundance of fall colours. I stopped at several locations along my route to take pictures...

Great trail, although the transit to get there is pretty out of the way. The first part of the trail is about 45 minutes of very light incline, followed by an accent to the peak which is much steeper, but direct and pretty short. Views are great but if you go later afternoon on a sunny day then there is a lot of glare from the sun. I recommend going in the morning, or at sunset would be very pretty if you can brave the trail back in the dark. As others recommend autumn leaves are likely to...

Nice easy hike to the top which has a very good view of the valley. Last 300-400 meter stretch has bit of an incline but rest is easy. We went here in Sept 2024 and had fewer bugs but still could feel some mosquitoes on neck. Parking is limited. Driving to this place would need you to drive on gravel road for few kms which isn't bad. Cheers!!

Well kept, couldn't ask for a simpler hike. Fairly flat for the first 2 kilometers finishing off with a moderately steep incline to get to the top. Well worth the trip. Be wary whilst driving up as the last few kilometers of road are narrow and have lots of blind spots. Happy trails 👣 be respectful and leave no trace.
