Purdon Conservation Area — Attraction in Lanark Highlands

One of the valley's best kept secrets. The orchids are in bloom from Father's day till the middle of July. The area includes a couple of picnic tables and a portalet. There's a boardwalk eventually leading to an observational gazebo overlooking Purdon lake. There are two parking lots, one scenic that leads to the gazebo and the primary one at the trailhead. Not enough stars to adequately rate this gem in our area. Finally saw the orchids this year after many years of wanting to see them.
