Bois de L'equerre, French for Forest of the square (as in the carpentry tool) is a nature park with free parking and walking trails that welcomes dog owners (keep your dog on a leash) and includes nicely maintained trails through wooded areas. Walking trails are between 400 meters to 4 Km. There is a small network of flat, easily traversed walking trails and with some presenting a bit more challenges, and may include some muddier terrain and some slight inclines and having to negotiate around branches, rocks, etc... It is a wonderful little piece of natural heaven in the heart of the city of Laval. Within a few minutes of much of the Chomedey industrial park, it is a little hidden gem which is great for the worker bagging it for lunch and is looking for a special place to commune with nature while enjoying their sandwich.
