Hillman Marsh Conservation Area — Attraction in Leamington

This was my first time visiting Hillman Marsh Conservation Area and it was beautiful. We were lucky enough to visit on the 8th of April, eclipse day. Totality was an awe inspiring event that you couldn't take your eyes off of. Magical, beautiful, phenomenal.

Carp were splashing in the water, getting ready for mating season. Herons flying majestically back and forth. What a perfect day to visit. And better yet - the washrooms were open and clean and ready for use. Always a plus. Thank you ERCA for this maintained Conservation...

It's great in May... but I wish someone warned me that it would be dry in the fall so I didn't have to walk in, braving all those mosquitoes, only to find it was dry in September. Hope this saves someone a trip!

Excellent birdwatching spot! This was my baby's first bird watching expedition! And we got a bonus experience: The Detroit symphony orchestra played a free concert outdoors at the nature center and the birds sang along with flute and the harp!!!! it was one of the most beautiful experiences of my life!
