Perfect stopping point to do between Charettetown and Cape Breton. No that far off the highway (0.5km) but far enough away to be quiet and peaceful. They have benches with roofing for shade, green space and good views. Please remember to pick up your trash, keep the parks clean for others!

Awesome lake, very pretty view, but SMALL. little parking, little lake front (beach like) areas. Warm waters my dog loved it. would love to bring a canoe when I go back.

Nice little walk. The water is beautiful. Lots of people utilizing it right until dark. Kayaking, picnicking, walking and some were just sitting watching the sunset.

A well kept, short trail. I often take a bag with me to pick up any trash left behind but I very rarely see such things here. Most of the time I'm just stopping in to sit by the pond to read before I go to work. Absolutely love the convenience of being able to stop here at this beautiful spot on my way to work. It's a particularly nice occasion when the bald eagles are about and playing around or hunting for fish. I've seen as many as three at one time though I suspect there may...

Growing up, we used to go there every winter and mess around on the frozen "pond". During all other seasons, McElmon's Pond offers spectacular scenic views, of the lush, vibrant forest, as you stroll along its inviting trail. Colorful blossoms and rich greenery set the stage as nature provides the backdrop for your visit. At waters edge, you are humbled by the intense beauty and serenity that surround you, as you gaze awestruck at the lavish, unmolested landscape of...

Quiet provincial day park on a sheltered pond. This is the perfect place to stop for a break, have lunch, a nap, use the dry toilet facilities AND if you happen to have a canoe, kayak, or paddle board with you, go for a paddle ! What more could you ask for ? Meticulously maintained, as are all Nova Scotia parks. No supervision. No slip, not suitable for...
