The Parrot's Bay Conservation Area is a wonderful area to walk, hike, run, ski, snowshoe or row. The main entrance is off the parking lot found on Highway 33 west of Amherstview and it leads to Trail 1. However, the Area can also be reached on its north side off Taylor Kidd Boulevard to Trail 4 or at its south east corner off Bayview Drive to Trail 6.

A quick visit for seeing Parrot's Bay is to follow Trail 1 to the Viewing Deck. A longer visit is to follow Trails 1, 2 and 3 to the bridge and return back on the same trails. A circumference tour of an hour or two is to follow Trails 1, 2, 3, 4, southern 5 and 6 and then Highway 33 west to the main entrance. Trails 1 through 3 are the easiest trails to transverse whereas Trails 4 through 6 are quite rugged.

Signs of previous times are found in the basement of a long gone house in the field surrounded by Trails 4 and 5. An old abandoned car can be viewed just off the north...

This place has gotten downright congested since last spring. It would be nice if dog owners could a) keep their dogs responsibly on-leash & b) adopt the "stick and flick" method of flinging dog poo off the trail with a found branch if they are simply going to wrap it in plastic and then leave it on or beside the trail. It's unfathomable why people who want to spend time in nature would be so...

Nice well marked trails (largely gravel trails, although there are a few grass trails, and there are signs at intersecting trails indicating which trail is which), scenic views and a decent hike. Plenty of parking available at their main entrance off of Bath Road, and a decent amount off Taylor Kidd as well. Overall a nice conservation area and it's worth a visit. Definitely...

Not a bad trail at all, but there are a lot more better ones in the area. As someone not familiar with Parrots Bay, it wasn't well signposted. And when there were signposts, it was different to the map at the beginning of the trail which was different to the one that's online. That said, there is obviously still cell reception so Google maps was able to get me back on track.

Nice little nature trail! Lots of little side paths to go into the woods where you will find some cool old cars. You can kayak into it from Nicholson point going under the bridge on bath road it’s a nice little kayak. A bit slick in some areas that’s natural path/rock and not gravel trail, after a rainfall.

Very nice conservation area! It gives me a feeling as if I'm in the woods in BC! The only thing that wasn't perfect is that the trail doesn't end with a complete loop. Instead, it ended with an open road and we had to walk along it while cars were zooming by for 10 mins to get back to the parking lot.
