Bark Lake — Attraction in Madawaska Valley

What a beautiful place to relax, a local told me some interesting facts about this lake. In the winter, they drain this lake via a nearby dam. The terrain of the bottom of the lake is suitable for tobogganing and many of the locals use it for just that. In the spring they close up the dam and it takes a few days to about a week to fill back up. How bizarre, eerie, and fascinating! Also, I’m told the the deepest spot in this lake is 300 feet.
