What a beautiful place to relax, a local told me some interesting facts about this lake. In the winter, they drain this lake via a nearby dam. The terrain of the bottom of the lake is suitable for tobogganing and many of the locals use it for just that. In the spring they close up the dam and it takes a few days to about a week to fill back up. How bizarre, eerie, and fascinating! Also, I’m told the the deepest spot in this lake is 300 feet. The fishing is absolutely amazing in this lake. It contains bass, pike, pickerel, and I saw a dinosaur sized snapping turtle last time I was there, the shell must have been as big around as a large watermelon.

Huge beautiful Lake and shoreline! Water is deep and clean. Excellent fishing! Didn't find too many mosquitoes in early August. A very pleasant quiet pontoon boat experience! Definitely recommend!

Beautiful, quiet lake, perfect for taking fall pictures. Great place to visit with a family. Lots of hiking trails nearby and restaurants in town.

We had our bachelorette here with 10 girls. It was fun, outdoorsy, relaxing, and the service was top notch. All of the staff at Bark Lake are truly 5 star. They go above and beyond making for a very memorable girls weekend, even despite the rain and mosquitos. They also provided really good food with vegan options....
