We recently visited Magog and took a walk at Marais de Rivière des Cerises. The place is beautiful, and you can spot many birds. We followed the wooden bridge trail, although it could need some renovations. At the end of the trail, we reached Park Merry, and decided to keep walking to explore the city on foot.

As we continued, we passed through all the Park La Pointe Merry and Baie Magog, eventually reaching the intersection at Plage des Cantons. The walk was very enjoyable, and we ended up at Centre d’Interpretation, which was our starting point.

We walked for about two hours or more, and it was a great experience. The weather was perfect, but the only downside was the crowd. There were many people walking, biking, and lots of tourists, which made the area a bit crowded. Overall, it was a...

Beautiful place to go on a small or long stroll with different species native to this habitat.

Scouring the waters from the raised catwalk feels like you're a scientist desperately trying to find this rare species you've heard about that lives in the swamps. The information panels along the paths also help fulfill this quest you embark on. Also very close to the town so you don't have to walk miles, knees deep in swamp water like you would in the bayous of Louisiana.

If you visit Magog, I highly recommend, at least, setting foot on...

Beautiful nature near Mount Orford, and many trails with signs indicating where you are. There is a kid’s educational trail with local animal drawings, showing the kids the qualities they can aspire towards. The trails and nature is well looked after . There’s a shop and restrooms and beautiful sculptures of the local birds. Mostly French but some English on the signs . It is free, which was a nice surprise. We spent the day of our 50th anniversary there, and in spite of the rain got a lot of peace from the...

Lovely walk from the interpretation center off Chemin Roy. Parking is 2.50$ /hr and the hike is along a raised boardwalk or under a forest canopy. To walk the length one way will take 30-45 min. It ends at point Merry in Magog. Lots of information plaques along the trail and some art installations. In the spring I can imagine lots of animal activity, however at the end of the summer the marsh is dry.

We really enjoyed this place. We did the longer trail and we stopped often and the whole thing took like maybe 2 hours to one end and back. You get to walk through forest with chipmunks, birds, squirrels and frogs and then there is a beautiful wooden walkway that brings you through all the marsh and bog. Definitely check this place out if you have a chance. Not a hard walk and very clean.
