This is our second year camping at Cabot Beach..other than mosquitoes being a pest at times we love the campground, staff, campsites and beach..my low rating is due to what transpired on our last week of camping. We chose to book an extra week and chose an available spot with a water view to see where it be best to pick out a spot next year.On our fourth day it was permitted for a camper to park crossways on the lot in front of our campsite which obstructed our view of the water. I asked the people who were permitted to park crossway on their campsite why they parked that way explaining it obstructed our view...I was told they had permission to park that way because they had no levelers on their RV. I contacted the parks front desk and I was informed they had given permission to them. My disappointment is that this was allowed to happen without consideration given to us as it obstructed our view. This set presendence for any other camper that would request the same request and if their camper was much larger and completely obstruct view for other campers. Why would they not move them to the back row so as not to block the gorgeous view for other paying campers that chose these spots for the view as well. Decisions like this disrespect other campers which is not good...

The campground was nice, although more like a parking lot than a traditional campsite. What I mean by this is that there is no trees or cover between campsites and it is placed in a grid-like fashion. Not the end of the world, sites were large with a small dirt pit for campfires.

The beach was nice, saw plenty of crabs, hermit crabs, minnows and jellyfish, which was an absolute blast (bring goggles). If you have young children I'd keep a close eye on them as a harbour or bay nearby empties out with a strong current past the sandbar.

They had daily activities posted in the washroom. Of the few we went to we enjoyed them.

The biggest complaints I would say I have (and they are barely an inconvience but are worth mentioning), is that the provided park map looks like it was hand drawn from someone squinting at Google maps from across the room and in the men's washroom the toilet seat in the standard stall is spring activated, which is more frustrating in my opinion then having to clean up the...

We stayed here for two nights during a trip to the East Coast. While the beach was lovely and the views fantastic, there were a couple major downsides to bring down our review.

Upsides:

Gorgeous view, right along the ocean coast. The beach is a beautiful red sand beach and neat to explore. The sunsets at this campground were stunning.

Washrooms: Though very basic they were clean and well stocked.

Downsides:

Mosquitos: There were mosquitos. SO many mosquitoes. We had hoped they were bad just because we arrived at dusk, but we found out quickly that they were around all day. Most people had to escape to their trailers to avoid them (our neighbour even purchased a screen room in order to be able to stand it there!).

Lack of privacy: Due to the fact we had a serviced site, we were in a wide open area with no trees. Literally no privacy or shelter from one campsite to the next. Again, the view was fantastic, but would be nicer if there were a...

First time camping at Cabot Beach PP. beach is beautiful…sand is super soft and beach is endless. Lifeguards supervising the beach. Excellent place to visit for a day. We were car camping, and didn’t realize the layout of the campsites. If you’re in your RV, no issues, as there are rows upon rows of spots for your trailer. For those car camping in a tent. If you’re lucky enough to register campsites from 80-90, where there are some trees for privacy. Almost all the other sites are in the open, you’re literally camping next to your neighbour, less than 20 ft. No trees, shrubs or bushes for privacy. We’re lucky, our neighbours were super polite and very quiet. Just not used to this setup, having done most of my camping in Ontario.
