Overall, it was a good experience and a fun day. One of the major positive parts of the beach was the warm water. I was quite surprised with how pleasant it was. Also, the beach was busy but it didn't feel that way. Everyone was evenly spread and respectful. A few things to consider include the parking, the walk, and the beach itself. The parking lot is a bit difficult because there are no designated spots and there was a lot of wasted space that could've been used for other families trying to visit. The next thing was the journey to the beach. It was a bit difficult to figure out where to go and it was a decently long walk to the beach. Lastly, the beach is very rocky and the shoreline is difficult to walk on with bare feet. I recommend getting wet shoes or waiting until the tide is lower revealing more sandy parts to...

My family and I love this beach! It is the perfect beach for swimming. When the tide is in you do not have to walk far into the water to be able to take a dip and when the tide is out its perfect for kids. The sand is beautiful and there's not many rocks. Perfect sand for sand castle building! It also boasts an awesome picnic area before you get to the beach. I will say that it is quite a walk for anyone who may have mobility issues but the board walk is nice and the path is level enough for a wheelchair to make it over. At the end of the boardwalk there are only steps leading to the beach so please be prepared. If there was another walkway we...

The new pathway is wonderful, you stare at the open water as soon as you're on the board walk. However, for it being the middle of August and in the afternoon of multiple days with heat warnings, the was was ice cold. Don't get me wrong, I know that has nothing to do with the place itself, but when you wait until you know the Northumberland straight should be like bath water, especially with global warming, and it turns out your practicing cold therapy, Wim Holf style.... It's rather...

I’ve been going to Rushton’s beach for decades, it’s a great beach to people watch and swim. The water is usually fairly warm in comparison to Lawrencetown or Queensland🥶, it’s sandy and it’s great for kids as the sandbars are immense so perfect for building a sandcastle. The only downside is that it’s a long walk from the parking lot to the beach and the closet outhouse is still a bit of a walk as it’s approximately at the half way point to the beach.

Wow! Fantastic beach park, and VERY popular. If you are coming here to get away from it all, this is the wrong place. Jam-packed with people and activities, which is wonderful as well. The place is a perfect place for families to bring their kids. They have outhouses and picnic tables before you head down to the trail to the beach. The park closes at 8:00 pm and the gates are secured. A beautiful beach park.
