We drove from Halifax and arrived at 10:15. The changing rooms weren't open the wooden beach mat and mobi chairs weren't available to use so we had to improvise to get our 18 yr old into the water. The change room didn't open until after 11. The lifeguards did their best but they don't have anything to do with the changing rooms apparently. As for the mobi chairs, no one seemed to know who was supposed to have the key to unlock them. If you have a loved one with no mobility Don't bother planning to visit this beach. There isn't even a space with a table to assist in changing people with mobility issues. One of the reasons we chose this beach was for its accessibility, boy were we...

It's my favorite beach, and it's so close to home. I love that there are lifeguards on duty during the day. It may not look like there are many people on the beach, but that's because of the sheer size of it. There is plenty of room for everyone.

For the little kids and their family and friends, I recommend you drive to the very last parking lot . The water is very shallow and warmer.

Finally, there's no wrong time to go there... unless advised against it by the marine authorities . I have been during storms, and I love it. I suggest you dress accordingly if you want to walk. You will have the beach to...

Beautiful provincial park with sandy beach and beautiful dunes which also shelter an inlet. The beach is actually a long peninsula sand bar. There are three parking area with beach access plus washrooms and change areas as well as a spot to wash sand from feet. There is also a wheel chair accessible mat for the water but the shifting sands can push sand into the wooden board walk and out from the sides of the accessible mat system. Swimming, sunset watching and bird watching on the shore side are all perfect activities for this locale. It’s a favourite spot for locals and the larger...

My favorite Beach in Nova Scotia other than the town of pugwash where I spent Summers on the beach, the beach the water is always pretty warm and the easy access from the parking lot to the beach as opposed to rushton's where you have to walk and walk and walk. And then if you got to use the bathroom you got to walk and walk and walk. This beach is excellent for anybody who's disabled. They have the mats down and a little picnic table and those wheelchair Beach wheelchairs with big wheels on them that you can roll your disabled friend or family member out into the beach and even into the water
