Wonderful park. If you like lots of trees and hills with lake activities, this is it. If you are an RVer and prefer busier, noisier sites close to the lake ...camp in South Campground. It's closer to the action, playground, and dog park yet has some nice sites. If you are an RVer and prefer more quiet, away from everything ...look into North or South campgrounds. Excellent newly asphalted roads winds throughout the campgrounds makes it a joy to walk or bike on. Downtown, store has limited offerings, but no fear, as Cochin is only 8 km away, has a store on a hill that offers everything! The Park has nice beach that is harrowing daily and you'll share the beach with flocks if Canada Geese and goslings. There is a boat launch, which can get extremely busy. Rentals beside the boat launch offer pontoons, paddle boards, kayaks, canoes, and paddle bike rentals... and ask the operator to direct you to canoe where it's quiet and away from it all-it will not disappoint. The washrooms/showers in North were not overly clean, and toilets leaked. Firewood locations are throughout the grounds. The hiking trails are not signed, meaning which trail is what -let alone directions, which is disappointing, and the trails are very challenging. The park administration said the trails were bike friendly...not even close! More like extreme biking! Only the trail running by lake is bike friendly and again, there are no signs directing as to where the trails goes when confronted with two directions (who knew the trail went under the highway, through a culvert?). The golf course offers lodging, food, quality golf attire, and excellent views not to mention a wonderful course. I prefer shaded and very private campsites, and this park did not disappoint. Sunsets are amazing. And if you time it right, you'll be able to pick a bowl of wild Saskatoons that grow throughout the...

I have a problem with a provincial park that doesn’t maintain (or CLEAN) the shower houses on a weekend. South women’s had 2/4 showers not working. The 2 working were filthy despite supposedly being cleaned for an hour each morning. We went in shortly after this timeframe, and they most definitely had NOT been cleaned on a Friday. Additionally, we were told the central shower house was completely closed, and the north shower house was lined up down the sidewalk Friday morning. Front gate attendant was friendly enough, but she was not the best at providing information on how to get to the group camping — as reported by a few people in our group. The store at the beach is for sale, and their lack of inventory shows they’re not expecting to remain much longer. Their ice cream flavour selections, however, were great! They also served a limited menu of hot food. A bit pricey, but relative for a park. Overall, I...

The beach is mostly gravel with rocks and the water is all weeds. We come yearly to this lake and since last year the bathroom and shower house by the beach has had no hot water. The showers in the North Subdivision are closed for renovations. So the one and only shower house that is open and works is the centre one sp be prepared to wait for a shower. Also the shower house is terribly dirty! It was like that the first week of July when we were out and again this weekend for Aug long. If you are heading to Jackfiash I suggest you do beach days at Cochin 5 min away. The beach is beautiful, all sand bottom and no weeds. Kids can swim out for a long ways as it...

Wasn't there for the park, but with that being said it doesn't mean I won't hold back on an honest review 😉 When summer hits this national park it's by far a beautiful and relaxing time, especially when your in need of a last minute getaway or you can't decide where to take your family this year for vacation, well look no further because this is it!! 👍🏻👌🏻 -I hope this review helps you out in the long run on your decision, if your undecided on which park to attend this summer!! -Cheers!! ☀️
