Beware that you can not enter the area and even park your vehicle without reservation. Make sure you pay a hefty $10.50 + maybe taxes per person to enter park your vehicle and then only you will be allowed to get in the area and visit the lake and the park. The staff whom you have to contact with the intercom is so rude to support for anything, just say reserve and buy your tickets and then only you will be allowed entry, even if you request them that you have travelled for 60+ km they don’t want to hear anything and just say pay for your tickets online, scan your tickets yourself, gate will open itself and you’ll be allowed by the system. That’s so unfortunate that to explore the nature one is asked to pay such hefty amount and that to by such rude staff Will never go again and not recommend...
Read moreThis is one of hidden gem in Halton Region east of Milton. We went on Saturday Thanksgiving 2024. This place has been transformed over last 26 years when I visited. Now has a lot of hiking trails, but main attraction is the Lake, with boardwalk around it, although the boardwalk needs maintenance and repair. Now they are charging for entry per person, in my view it’s worth as they need to keep place in good shape. There are a lot of parking spaces, visitors center and washrooms. Family gatherings and picnic area are available. Waking around the lake it’s worth it. Also there the old native Indian village well preserved and maintained, you can learn how people lives and they did a good job by guides to provide education lesson on how to survive and how people lives in...
Read moreNot recommended place to visit, especially for NS residents. The place is a park with the lake and trails (as many beautiful places that we have in NS). However, it's not free of charge. To be clear, you are required to pay 11$ per person (not per vehicle) to enter. You are not allowed to leave your vehicle outside and you receive nothing for your visit. We were on Thanksgiving day. The visitor Centre (with cafeteria and washrooms) was closed. The museum building (for aboriginal people) was closed. So, what we have received for 22$ (2 persons): same lake view, short trails as in NS. Without available access to the washrooms (maintained in the visitor Centre only), heavy Toronto traffic (at least 40 minutes) + frustration from our...
