I visited Rattlesnake Point for the first time last Saturday, and it was a fantastic experience! The weather was slightly cool and overcast, with a bit of drizzle, which added a mystical charm to the hike. The light rain brought out the rich, earthy scents of the forest, making the whole experience feel refreshing and peaceful.

One of the best parts was that there weren’t many other hikers around, allowing me to truly enjoy the serenity of the trails. The quietness, combined with the beautiful views of the Niagara Escarpment from the Buffalo Crag Lookout, made the hike feel like a tranquil escape from the city.

The trails were well-marked and easy to follow, even with the damp conditions. The park itself is well-maintained, with clean facilities and several spots perfect for resting and taking in the views.

I would definitely love to visit again in the summer to experience the trails in full bloom and maybe even try a picnic at one of the scenic spots. Overall, Rattlesnake Point is a perfect destination for anyone looking to enjoy nature’s beauty and some well-deserved...

Fall colours are great 🍂. The escarpment is beautiful. Family friendly kids will love the nature hike and enjoy the escarpment at the point. It will cost you $7 per head not per vehicle. Picnic area are also available. Hiking to the rattle snake point look out is just few minutes from the parking. Will take longer hike if you go further into the woods. Stroller & child wagon friendly up to a certain look out point which is already good enough to enjoy the escarpment view. Will be harder if you go further. Child can manage the well maintained hiking trail.

Just updated this review October 3, 2020. Fall colours are a month early this year. We have added few more pics taken 1st week of October 2020. This conservation area now requires reservation as part of Covid safety protocol for crowd control. That’s the most effective way to limit number of families in the area at the same time. Always check their website for updates. Do drop us a like if you find this...

After reading many reviews raving about the fantastic experience, I chose Rattlesnake Point for a hike. Admission was around $11. You can buy your ticket online. You enter your license plate number and gate opens automatically when you arrive- very convenient! The parking lot is well-maintained and I loved how all the trails are easy to follow. You cannot get lost! I hiked to the lookout points first, then on to Crawford Lake, which I circled on the boardwalk. I also visited the Indian village and then headed back to the parking lot. The hike was easy and took around 4h, including a stop to have a snack and the visit to the Indian village. On the way I saw some turkey vultures and a couple of squirrels. Why only 3 stars? It is a nice enough hike but the views are mediocre at best. The forest is not nearly as wild as what you get in other places in Canada. For a quick escape from the city it is totally fine but I would not go...

Rattlesnake Point is an incredible outdoor experience with a variety of great trails that are well maintained. The scenery is very spectacular, with the panoramic views of the great scenery and the surrounding colorful trees. Whether you're looking for a leisurely walk or a more challenging hike, there are trails suitable for all skill levels. There was a small little river like on the bottom of the hike it was great to see! However, it was very crowded, especially on holidays and during peak seasons, so arriving early is advised. Also, be mindful of the park's conservation efforts and guidelines to preserve this beautiful natural area as they maintain it very well! Overall, Rattlesnake Point in Milton is a top tier for a hiking destination offering breathtaking views and an outdoor experience you won’t forget. FUN FACT: you can go rock climbing here P.S parking is paid per person and not per car

Great place to go for some scenic heights. It's generally not too crowded and there's enough space to abide by social distancing rules. You will have to make an appointment on a website which gives you a two hour timeframe to enjoy the park. There are three trails ranging difficulties (green, yellow, orange), currently because of the two hour timeframe you won't be able to enjoy the orange trail fully unless you run, as a casual walk will take up to 4 hours on said trail. At some of the viewing points in the trail there are spots where you can view a portion of the sunrise and set although not fully. There are also campsites, and rock climbing options there. All in all, a great place to go for a short-medium hike (due to the current COVID limitations) as long as you make sure to keep track of the time and make an appointment in advance.
