Ok rest stop. Falls are quite pretty. Walking access to the water. Easy access from the 503 highway. Narrow pull thru paved area at the entrance for tractor trailers, campers, etc. Motorcyclists might want to park and walk. All gravel and lots of sand throughout the park roads and HUGE potholes and rock!! ⚠️CAUTION!!⚠️ Porta-potties are to the right when pulling in. There are two toilets, one is marked accessible, BOTH were absolutely DISGUSTING. 🤢💩👎No sinks or sanitizer and millions of flies 🪰and cobwebs 🕸️🕷️!! They definitely need someone to go by these regularly with a pressure washer and hose them down!! I'm pretty sure the holes for these were dug back in the 1800's and it's called Furnace Falls because they are a HOT MESS!! 💩💩💩🤪👃🤮

Furnace Falls is a very easy and accessible tourist spot, very scenic and beautiful, please use caution when visiting, hiking shoes and bug spray highly recommended, not a place for kids under 5, nor a place to litter or bring your trash, enjoy what nature gives you by only taking pictures and appreciating the soothing sounds of the Falls.A lot of logs are accumulated over the river bank behind the Falls.

A perfect place to stop along the way, between Kinmount and Gooderham. Beautiful river, rapids and small waterfalls There are outhouses for washrooms. As recreational, there is no real picnic area. No tables, gazebo etc. But there are multiple grass areas to throw a blanket down. Dirt road throughout is pretty rough, and cell signal is pretty poor out here, just to keep in mind.

This was once just a small parking lot with access to the rapids and it's also a portage sight for those taking the irondale river southbound via canoe or kayak. Now its a small park where grilling is allowed and small fireplaces are scattered about. There are picnic tables and fishing!! The rapids form a pool below them and during some times of the year and some times of those days the fishing is great. It's good all year.

For those of you thinking of doing a short weekend long canoe trip, taking the irondale river which connects to the burnt river (which in the end will connect you to Cameron lake) I recommend launching at furnace falls or above it on a long weekend and take a trip south on the irondale to the burnt river and 2 days and one night later at a relaxing pace will land you in Burnt River Village. Thats a trip I strongly recommend for moderately experienced canoeists. Below Burnt River Village, the rapids are done and motorized boats begin to appear as well as more and more cottages. You could canoe to the lake but I don't recommend it. The scenic Burnt River is from the...

We came upon this place on accident. We were driving along and saw the beautiful falls so we stopped to take pictures. While we were there we checked it out. It is stunning. A great place to sit and have a picnic or even sit to relax. The water is so calming and the Rapids and so beautiful to watch along with the falls. You can even go for a swim on those warm days. We will definitely be returning. Very...
