This was once just a small parking lot with access to the rapids and it's also a portage sight for those taking the irondale river southbound via canoe or kayak. Narrow pull thru paved area at the entrance for tractor trailers, campers, etc. Motorcyclists might want to park and walk. All gravel and lots of sand throughout the park roads and HUGE potholes and rock!! ⚠️CAUTION!!⚠️ Porta-potties are to the right when pulling in. They definitely need someone to go by these regularly with a pressure washer and hose them down!! I'm pretty sure the holes for these were dug back in the 1800's and it's called Furnace Falls because they are a HOT MESS!!...
