Crandall University is a wonderful place to attend! I just completed my first year here and I have to say, I am impressed! Some of Canada's leading professors are here, amd MAN do they know their material! Dr. Keith Bodner will know you by name before your first class with him and Dr. John Stackhouse Jr. has been offered a position at THE Oxford University and turned it down. There are others as well, and the student body and council are the best to be with. The professors are all personable and regardless of your Christian denomination, or even if you are a member of a different faith, you will we received very warmly!

Former Student (Dec 2024 – Feb 2025)

I attended Crandall University briefly and took a refund within two months. I’m writing this as a serious warning for future international students, especially from India and China, who are considering Crandall as an "easy" pathway to education or permanent residency in Canada.

🎓 Academic Quality: Far Below Even Basic Expectations Crandall University claims to offer quality education, but the reality is quite different. The academic environment lacks rigor, innovation, and seriousness. Most programs feel outdated, assessments are loosely structured, and there is no competitive learning culture. The professors often seem disconnected from modern academic or industry trends.

Worse, it is a Christian faith-based university—which means every class or event often starts with prayers or religious references, and there’s a subtle but persistent effort to introduce Christian ideologies. For secular or non-Christian students, this can feel uncomfortable and indirectly pushy.

⚠️ Master of Management = Open Admission The Master of Management program seems to accept almost any applicant who can pay, regardless of academic strength. Many students are admitted with multiple backlogs, low GPAs, and even poor English communication skills.

Some of them would not even qualify for mid-level universities in India, yet are easily accepted at Crandall. This drastically pulls down the quality of class discussions and peer learning. Even Reddit threads confirm this – Crandall has a reputation for being a "pay-and-get-in" school.

Frankly, the IQ of some professors and students feels lower than room temperature – and I don’t say that lightly.

💸 Immigration Focus Education It’s obvious that Crandall is running more of an immigration support operation than a real university. The Dean himself is allegedly involved in immigration services, which raises serious ethical concerns. You’ll get more emails about PGWP updates than any academic opportunity.

Their focus is clearly on using international students as a revenue stream, not on actually delivering a competitive education.

💼 No Real Career Support, Just Survival Jobs Let’s be honest: most international students end up doing cleaning, warehouse, or customer service jobs in Moncton. The school has no reputation with major employers, no significant industry tie-ups, and no real career placement support.

And while there’s nothing wrong with cleaning jobs, is that what top Indian engineering or business graduates come to Canada for? We are among the brightest minds in the world—Indian talent powers Google, Microsoft, and NASA. But at Crandall, that potential is wasted.

❗Many students I personally know left the program midway and returned to their home countries, realizing the degree would not get them anywhere career-wise. That says a lot.

🌍 Moncton – An Outdated City with Broken Systems Moncton is not an ideal student city. The public transport is unreliable, the local economy is weak, and opportunities outside part-time survival jobs are minimal. The city itself feels outdated, and if you're coming from a metro city in India or China, you'll feel the gap immediately.

❌ Discrimination & Favoritism There are open biases, even among some professors. Certain nationalities are favored—especially Nigerian students—while Indian and other students are treated with less respect or attention. That kind of academic discrimination should not exist in any credible institution.

Also, the case studies taught in the management program are basic and poorly delivered. Business education should be taught by professionals who’ve built companies—not by people who’ve only read about it on paper.

🖥️ Technologically Behind The tech infrastructure of the university is shockingly poor. No modern LMS, outdated systems, and barely any exposure to real-world digital tools that today’s professionals use. The whole setup feels stuck in the...

They are accepting far more international students than they can actually accommodate. Out of the blue, someone from this university sent me an email warning that seats were almost full and that if I hadn’t applied for a student visa yet, I should defer to the next semester. This happened nine months before my chosen intake! It's not even recommended to apply for a student visa this early. On the same day I received that email, another person from the same university sent me a different email advising me to apply for my student visa as soon as possible. I was getting mixed messages from both individuals. Were they telling me to defer or to apply for my student visa? I decided to apply for my student visa (since the second email said to apply as soon as possible, right?). A few days later, they sent me an email inviting me to join a webinar for accepted students. I had to log in and watch for several minutes, only to find out that all the seats for my master’s program had already been taken. It was a very upsetting experience. Why would they accept a large number of international students only to inform them that there were no available seats several months before the intake? Why do they assume it's easy to defer to the next semester? It’s definitely not easy to put our plans and lives on hold just to attend the next intake. Well, this isn’t my first negative experience as an international student. At least they refunded my money, but they can’t refund the time I lost. I couldn’t find any other university with an open intake for the first semester of 2025, and I also lost a lot of money applying for my student visa, which I can’t get refunded. Thank you very...
