Great place to try canoeing with your family. $20/hour and life jackets supplied. Water is quite still and shallow and no loud gas motorized watercraft to avoid. It gets full on summer weekends so you should reserve. Plenty of nice picnic spots by the bandshell, easy hikes and scenic views. The park staff are another benefit, friendly, informative. A nice place to hike and enjoy a beautiful day walking through the well maintained trails through tall trees,crossing over clear water lakes. The entrance to this park is a bit difficult to locate as mostly people end up going to a dead end on the road ahead. Carefully look for a board on side of the road to locate the park.
