Park staff tried to refuse me entry based on my footwear. I understand and agree with concerns for safety, but I was wearing proper technical hiking shoes. The only difference between me and the MANY people I saw on the trail in running shoes (I even saw some street sneakers) was that I was not wearing a thousand dollars worth of brand name hiking gear.
So make sure you wear your best Lole leggings/bra set, Patagonia visor, Osprey day pack and other $$$ non-essentials.. or you may be denied entry.

Take your own time , the view from the top is absolutely amazing and really worth it. We saw reviews asking to bring a lot of food and water but didn’t really need it. However it will depend on individual. The estimated time to complete this hike is between 6-8 hours. Probably best to start as early as possible as the day progress , you will find many peoples. Totally...
