This was probably one of the most beautiful hikes I've done in eastern Canada. The hike goes up the Olivine Mountain at a fairly high elevation that offers breathtaking views of the area and the surrounding mounts. The mount Olivine itself culminates at 670 meters, which is actually the lowest of all the mounts in the area. The views are still beautiful and you will not regret the sometimes rugged trail to get up there, which can be very rocky at times. Also dress adequately for the hike as the temperature drops as you climb up the mountain. We did the loop around the Lac Du Diable (Devil's Lake) which took us about 5 hours with a break at the Serpentine shelter. So you don't want to start the hike too late of course as the temperatures drop even further when the night falls.
Definitely a great hike, we will go back to explore the other mounts...

A gradual incline takes you up to a treeless ridge with stunning 360 panoramas. Do the loop trail at the top, then relax and eat your fromage sandwich in the Serpentine shelter. This trail is a great choice for snowshoeing in the winter as well, as its one of the few trails that isn’t closed.
