Mixed feelings about the initial direction of this project. Honestly, mostly disappointed. First, it was difficult to find since there is no signage in front of the park. The pavillion is close to the 96th avenue. The ramp is overwhelming and unnecessarily oversized. Completely disrespected the homeowners with their pretty properties. Talk about the city planners bulldozing their citizens. Besides this big negative, this place can evolve with time. It seems that the water will be opened to swim at some point. For now, a few water fountain features can be enjoyed. The big positive is the Pavillion which offers clean toilets, changing rooms and small lockers. Kayaks can also be rented. All in all, I will wait a longer while before I spend...

It was a sunny day and I was hoping to spend some time in the sun near the waters edge. I had high hopes for this place.

Good concept poor execution.

No swimming permitted. I wouldn’t want to swim if it were permitted. The Water is brown. Large gravel used as a man made beach in place of sand.

The water park for kids didn’t work very well. The drain for the water wasn’t working so you had a body of stagnant water / rainwater. Standing water imposes a multitude of health risks such as disease-carrying bacteria, insects, and and offers the perfect breeding ground for mold, algae, pathogens, mosquitoes, etc…

Bathrooms were...
