Tommy Turtle — Attraction in Municipality of Boissevain – Morton

Welllll, it's a big concrete turtle that is out here I'm sure for the cheesy photo opportunities of tourists...like me 🤗. So, I didn't want to disappoint the folks that put it up, and I wasn't disappointed when I arrived. Tommy seemed excited & patriotic, I got my picture and headed out. There's a little gift shop nearby, unfortunately it was not open when I was there and beware, you can't fuel after hours at the gas station across the street no matter how good your credit...

How does one rate a road side attraction like Tommy the Turtle? Well if a statue of a turtle is your kinda of thing this is the spot for you. Because Boissevain is at the foot of the Turtle Mountains and there are actual turtles that tend to swim around the streams and lakes in the region "Tommy" is a good choice as a mascot. If you're a fan of giant roadside statues, Tommy is definitely worth a stop. He's truly huge, well maintained, and don't miss pressing the button on the nearby mural-covered building because HE TALKS. All in all 5 stars, 10/10, do recommend.
