My friend enjoyed the whole trail and was very enthusiastic about the climbing. To be honest, I wouldn’t call this an easy trail. I was exhausted and moderate/ hard would be my guess. It was very intense, very steep, there’s hardly a flat path, so it’s mostly climbing. When you come to the rocky part, make sure to follow the yellow plates as well as the pink ribbons, because it’s a little difficult to find the path out there. The view during and at the top is amazing and definitely worth the hike. But you can also take the Gondola (50 dollars I thought) up and down (or one way and hike the other). There’s a restaurant at the top as well as a little shop where you can buy sweaters, mugs and...
Read moreGreat trail for beginner/intermediates. We took about 3.5 hours to get up and we stopped to enjoy the view and had several snack breaks. We hiked up and took the tram down. It was challenging but very very rewarding. Suggest going to the bathroom before starting and packing some snacks as well.
The restaurant at the peak is not vegetarian friendly, so we decided to have a small picnic near the peak and we had a blast.
It’s another 35-40 min to the summit of the mountain.
Many folks we met at the peak did not hike up and they took the tram up and did the summit hike then tram back down. If you are able I strongly recommend you do the hike it is...
Read moreMe and my girlfriend decided to do this trail this morning despite current wet weather conditions.
We took the trail all the way to the top (around 1300m of elevation) so I was afraid of snow at high altitude that was falling few days ago. But the last part of the trail from the sky tram higher was all right.
Start of the trail was very wet and muddy. I would say around 20% of the way to the sky tram was wet - because of streams of melted snow running from the top. But don't let it discourage you, it will get better going higher. Just expect your feet to get wet and take proper footwear. If you do,there shouldn't be...
